Barry M AW2014 Classic Nail Paint - Ballerina

Barry M Classic Nail Paint Ballerina Swatch and Review

Hola my fellow nail polish enthusiasts, today I have another swatch for you in the shape of Barry M's Ballerina Nail Paint.

In case you weren't aware, Barry M have been on a bit of a roll recently with a flood of new releases including everything from autumnal cremes to jazzy glitters and of course some special Christmas polishes. With all this choice, you might be wondering why I picked out this muted pastel number? I'm normally always attracted to a bit of sparkle, but there's nothing like a classic creme in a beautiful colour for making your nails look pretty and perfected.

Ballerina is a new member of the classic Nail Paint collection, which is often overlooked in favour of the Gellys but I think this colour can definitely hold it's own. I used three coats and a top coat in these pictures. Compared to the Gelly paints, the formula is a little thin and the finish is not chunky or 'gel-like' which is why I think this really benefits from a good top coat to give it that sleek look. But as you can see the results are worth it; the colour is a gorgeous dusky rose pink, very reminiscent of those old leather ballet shoes. It's definitely a more grown up colour, it stands out against the bright fuchsia pinks I have in my stash, but I love it. I think it's really flattering and a lovely choice for Autumn.
